LIVE Nativity

A local Maricopa church sponsors an annual LIVE Nativity that is SO COOL! They have held it for three total years now and we've managed to make every year. It's one of the highlights of our families' Christmas season. Though our lives may be busy with the hustle and bustle of Christmas, we have always felt it important to let our children know the TRUE MEANING of Christmas, and what better way for our kids to hear the real Christmas story then to have it acted out right before their eyes while listening. Dispersed throughout the Christmas story are also some very familiar Christmas Carols being sung. If you are a Maricopian and you've never yet been, I HIGHLY recommend it! It's fantastic. They read and act out the story every 20 minutes or so, and once you've listened, the kids are able to go up and pet the animals, they can make a craft of some sort, and then they also serve cookies and hot cocoa and hot apple cider to everyone. It's great!
