If you haven't heard, I am up at the hospital with our sweet Ezra. Ezra got a viral infection that dehydrated him to the point of needing IV's. We arrived to the ER yesterday at noon and are still here until he starts to drink on his own. It's been an eventful stay, the biggest event being that he decided to RIP his IV out of his very own little hand while I had stepped away for FIVE MINUTES to go to the bathroom! I couldn't believe my eyes! We definitely have an ornary little one, but he is a very sick little boy. At this point, they are just trying to get him to DRINK orally enough so that we can go home. PLEASE PRAY he will drink for us and get us OUT OF HERE! I hate being here! He is only drinking about 8 ounces a day and having VERY FEW, maybe two wet diapers a day! He needs to show a lot more than that. Right now he's broke out in a rash from the infection, and his eyes are real swollen. I'll update when I can, but I"m hoping my next "update" will be FROM HOME tomorrow!!!!

Joanna, I will pray... sounds like what we did for Christmas. I think there is something to the second borns having a stubborn streak in them... And unfortunately Ezra is a bit young to reason with him like we can with Hannah (i.e. drink or go back to the hospital for another iv). I can't believe that he got his IV out... they told us that it was impossible for her to do if she wanted too. I guess he proved that theory wrong! We will pray for God to reason with little Ezra so that you can take him home soon!
Oh Jo! I'll be praying for Ezra and that he gets out of the hospital soon. Do the doctors know what he has?
